Two New Brunswick Theatre Companies Announce Historic Partnership

Two of New Brunswick’s oldest theatre companies have come together in a historic partnership to create the province’s first professional stage production to be produced in both official languages. A Sunday Affair, written by Gabrielle Houle, Thomas Morgan Jones and Richard Lee will be produced by Theatre New Brunswick (TNB) and Théâtre populaire d’Acadie (TPA) with a French language translation by Maurice Arsenault. PARC presents the Annual New Brunswick Playwrights’ Cabaret!

Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre (PARC) presents its annual New Brunswick Playwrights` Cabaret on Saturday April 30th 2016 at 7:30 pm. Hosted by the Saint John Theatre Company in the BMO Studio with MC Stephen Tobias, the evening will feature readings by Saint John writers Neil Bonner, Dan Culberson, Gretchen Kelbaugh, Jordan Stewart and Bet O’Toole, who is the Chair of SJTC`s script development program, Script Happens. Other playwrights taking part in the Cabaret from around New Brunswick include Ryan Griffith, AD of Fredericton`s The Next Folding Theatre Company, Theatre New Brunswick`s AD, Thomas Morgan Jones, and from Sackville, Jenny Munday, AD of PARC. Six of Gallery 78’s artists prepare us for the coming plethora of beauty with their floral imagery in an exhibition called Welcome Spring! Glenn Hall and Jonathan MacDonald share Common Ground – in their off-the-grid lifestyles, in their painted depictions of rural homes, and in their shared history.
