This holiday season the Fredericton Playhouse is delighted to offer a series of shows that will put you in a festive mood! Join us this December for performances full of holiday cheer.

Following hometown hero David Myles’ sold-out performance on Wednesday, December 2nd, don’t miss Irish acoustic band Lúnasa on Friday, December 4th. This all-star quintet is on the forefront of Celtic music, and you’ll quickly see why in this special Christmas performance.

On Tuesday, December 15th, catch Symphony New Brunswick’s presentation of Christmas with Lennie Gallant. This is a seasonal treat that the whole family will enjoy. Plus, Fredericton’s own celebrated soprano Measha Brueggergosman returns with a special Christmas performance. Tickets for her Wednesday, December 16th show are sold out, but seats are available for her show on Thursday, December 17th.

Lots of local talent will perform over the holidays, including Dance Fredericton, presenting The Nutcracker on Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th. Two guest soloists from Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company will appear in this full-length ballet, showcasing original choreography, elaborate costumes and the classical score by Tchaikovsky. On Saturday, December 5th, the New Brunswick Country Showcase will present a fun and lively Christmas show. Then, join Charlotte Street Arts Centre and Solo Chicken Productions on Sunday, December 13th for History Through Song. This heart-warming celebration of 732 Charlotte Street features choirs, theatre pieces and more.

Audiences looking for theatre will love Theatre New Brunswick’s holiday performance, Little Women, The Broadway Musical, running Thursday, December 10th to Saturday, December 12th. Featuring soaring music, unforgettable performances and beloved characters, this family musical is sure to move and delight. And the fun continues after Christmas with DuffleBag Theatre’s Snow White on Sunday, December 27th, presented as part of the Kidstage Series. This group’s fractured fairy tales are an annual favourite, full of spontaneous fun and audience involvement.
