Neely G Festival of Music Announces Line-Up

neelygfestThe second annual Neely G Festival of Music has announced its stellar 2016 performer line-up, bringing some of Canada’s top talent along with international performers to R10 Venue located in Long Creek, New Brunswick, July 15-17, 2016.

Festival performers include, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, Dave Gunning, Suzie Vinnick, Thom Swift, Ashley Condon, Lynn Miles, Brian Willoughby and Cathryn Craig, Andrea England, Ian Foster and Nancy Hynes, RPR (formerly Tanglefoot), Twin Kennedy, Union Duke, Kim Dunn, Thomas McCallum and an excellent New Brunswick contingent, including Jared Lutes and Band, Ivan Daigle and The Dirt County Confederates, Brent Mason and Band, The Divorcees, Tomato Tomato, Katherine Moller, Jesse Cox and Wes Jagoe.

“We are thrilled with this year’s line up! The very best of folk, blues, roots, Celtic, country and bluegrass – we have it all!” said Sheree Gillcrist, Artistic Director. “Our inaugural festival last year was a joyful weekend filled with music and fellowship. That was what we aspired to and we hope to achieve that again this year and every year in the future.”

In addition to main stage performances over the three-day weekend, there will be songwriter circles, interactive workshops, master classes, emerging artist showcases, open-mic opportunities and a special feature called Four Chords and The Truth presented and hosted by Nova Scotia born singer-songwriter, Andrea England. Multi award-winning artists, Suzie Vinnick and Thom Swift will also share a stage for what will be a memorable performance.

The festival grounds, located on Route 10 in Long Creek, NB, is 15 minutes from Sussex, and is centrally located between Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton with easy access from both highways.

The venue, situated in a beautiful woodland setting, offers five stages, an artisan village, food vendors, beer garden, tent grounds and lots of free parking.

Tickets for the festival are available now. Weekend passes are $115 plus tax and $105 plus tax for seniors and students. Day passes for Saturday and Sunday are $70 plus tax and $60 plus tax for seniors and students. Evening passes each day are $45 plus tax.

Doors open at 5:30 pm on Friday and 10:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Neely G Festival was created by Saint John, New Brunswick born Sheree Gillcrist and her partner Declan Campbell in memory of their daughter, Neely, who they lost tragically at a very young age. The festival aims to keep her name and memory alive and promote and support Neely’s fond love of independent artists and their music.
