Ability New Brunswick raising funds through annual art auction

artist brushes backgroundAbility New Brunswick will be hosting its 24th annual fundraising auction on November 22. Presented by Lawton’s Home HealthCare, the Art & Antique Auction is a great chance to support local artists as well as New Brunswickers living with mobility disabilities.

Ability New Brunswick promises “a special evening with delicious food and beautiful music, followed by an exciting live auction.” Along with a large art selection, antiques and other items donated by local businesses will also be available for auction. The proceeds will go toward helping the 90,000 New Brunswickers living with mobility disabilities.

This year the event is offering something new; two artists, Lindsey MacKay and Sharon Epic, will be doing live painting throughout the evening. Both paintings will be auctioned off as part of the fundraiser.

Haley Flaro, executive director of Ability New Brunswick says bringing in live painting is a way to keep the event fresh after 24 years.

The 24th Annual Art & Antique Auction will be held at the Delta Fredericton on November 22. The event begins at 5:30 and will run throughout the evening. Tickets are $65 each, for more information on the event, see the Ability New Brunswick Website.
