Creative Connections Conference

The Creative Connection Conference is taking place at UNB this November from the 16th to the 18th.

Creativity is leading the wave of innovation and change globally. Opportunities to share knowledge and strategies about the interdisciplinary and problem solving potential of creativity are now critical in meeting the social, cultural and economic needs of today’s world.

This conference will not be passive but instead will be interactive and multidimensional; offering a variety of sessions designed to capture the imagination, inspire and engage participants through creative processes and problem solving. Participants will gain a greater understanding of creativity, its impact on our lives and how it can be used to address and solve real life problems.

Participants will include students, educators and researchers from all disciplines, engineers, healthcare professionals, scientists, designers, artists, entrepreneurs, administrators, policy makers and members of the community.

We are now seeking submissions that are interdisciplinary, multimodal and interactive in nature. Creating combinations of the following areas is encouraged:

Visual Arts, Sciences, History, Computer Science, Engineering, Creative Writing, Music, Mathematics, Social Studies, Health & Wellness, International Studies, Journalism, Drama, Film Studies, Design, Dance, Architecture, Language Arts, Education, Environmental Studies, Aboriginal Studies, Economic Development, Media Studies, Other

  1. Hi there!

I have developed a workshop/retreat based on my book, Saving Your Own Life: Learning to Live Like You Are Dying. It is designed as a workbook, consisting of a series of exercises that allow the participant to explore their ideas and fears regarding dying and death and address them in a positive, divergent manner – that I call Creative Reframing.

I am in the process of completing the pilot for this workshop and received the notification of your Conference today.

I am not sure if something like this would fit with your format. It definitely promotes Health and Wellness with a fresh, new perspective.

I can be reached at the email address below or at 363-2129
