The Fredericton Arts Alliance (FAA) welcomes everyone interested in the arts in Fredericton to join them for their 16th Annual General Meeting on February 10, 2016. This meeting will be held at 7 pm in the Charlotte Street Art Centre Multi-purpose room, 732 Charlotte Street. They will discuss upcoming projects and activities for the new year, and welcome new ideas, feedback, and participation on committees and projects. Membership forms will be available.
The evening provides a wonderful opportunity for artists working in all disciplines, as well as arts supporters, to get together for a relaxed night of sharing. Refreshments will be served.
The FAA thanks everyone for their support in the past year. The organization went to an annual membership renewal in January of 2015, which means that all memberships with the FAA expire on January 31, 2016.
In the past year, member support has allowed for the continuation of the ARTSNews weekly email; the annual summer Artists in Residence program at the Barracks Shops; a second successful year of Artists in the Schools; a revitalization of the Art Off the Streets trial program from 2014; and a very successful non-partisan forum on the arts for the federal elections candidates.
Many of these programs would also not be feasible without the support of grant partnerships from the City of Fredericton, Downtown Fredericton, and the Fredericton Community Foundation; and from the work of volunteers and board members, including help with the annual Gala fundraiser every October. The FAA certainly appreciates your attendance at the event, and thanks the many artists that contribute a portion of their art sales to the Gala fundraiser.
Membership renewal payments may be mailed to the FAA or paid through PayPal on their website at www.frederictonartsalliance.ca. Don’t forget to select a membership category on the drop-down menu, otherwise it will fail to process your request. The group can also be found on Facebook where they welcome you sharing your news and stories.
Thanks for your continued support!
