Local Rowers Attend Spring Training Down South in Georgia

rowersingeorgiaMembers of  the Fredericton and Kennebecasis Rowing Clubs went south on the March Break for some spring training. Rowers took part in a week long provincial rowing camp in beautiful Richard B. Russell State Park in Elberton, Georgia.

The rowing centre has been a training ground for many international Olympic rowing crews and serves as a premier training site. Fully furnished cottages and 20 C plus temperatures awaited those that travelled to the south to get some pre-season training in and a break from the frigid temperatures and snow back home. Provincial coach Chantelle Hanely worked with crews throughout the week.
